What you need;

1 cup pure cream

1 cup lemonade

3 cup self-raising flour

pinch of salt

extra flour, for dusting

jam1 and cream, to serve

How to Create;

Preheat oven to 220°C (200°C fan-forced). Line a baking tray with baking paper or a light dusting of flour.

In a large bowl, sift flour and salt. Add lemonade and cream and mix to a soft sticky dough. Place onto a generously floured board and knead lightly (do not over work the dough) and press into 3 cm thick rectangle. Using a 6cm cutter (or size of your choice), cut dough into rounds and place on the prepared baking tray. Gently knead any remaining dough together, repeat pressing and cutting.

Lightly brush the tops of the scones with a little extra cream or milk and bake for 15-20 minutes or until just cooked through and tops are browned.

Serve with jam1 and cream.
